Rental Terms and Conditions

SBS Alarm Rental Package – Terms and Conditions

1. Minimum Contract Period

The rental agreement has a minimum contract length of 36 months from the start date.

After the initial 36-month period, the contract automatically transitions to a rolling 3-month agreement.

2. Notice Period

Following the initial 36-month term, either party may terminate the contract by giving 30 days’ written notice.

3. Payment Terms

Rental payments are to be made according to the agreed schedule.

A penalty of £25 will apply for any declined or failed payment, to cover administrative costs.

4. Equipment Ownership & Responsibility

All alarm system equipment supplied under this agreement remains the property of SBS at all times.

The client is responsible for any breakages, loss, or damage to the equipment, other than fair wear and tear, and will be charged for repairs or replacements as required.

General wear and tear is accepted by SBS and will not be charged to the client.

5. Service Provider Requirement

The client must not remove SBS as the service provider from any of the rented alarm equipment.

If SBS is removed as the service provider, a call-out charge of £150 will be incurred for SBS to manually re-establish service rights.

6. Battery Replacement

SBS is responsible for the supply and replacement of batteries in all rented alarm equipment.

The client must allow reasonable access for SBS engineers to replace batteries. An appointment will be scheduled in advance for this purpose.

7. Access and Maintenance

The client agrees to grant SBS (or its representatives) reasonable access to the premises for the purpose of inspection, maintenance, or replacement of any rental equipment.

Attempts will be made to arrange access at a mutually convenient time
